Growing up on the water since the age of five, Captain Dan’s career has spanned from hands-on boating to leading roles in sales and operations. He began his career in the marine industry in 2000, selling premium boat brands such as MasterCraft and Ebbtide, Cobalt and running the finance department. During his decade in the retail boat market, he earned national recognition, including Salesman of the Year honors three consecutive years from MasterCraft Boat Company. Building on this foundation, Captain Dan transitioned into the yachting sector and is now the proud owner of Lux Yachts, an independent brokerage he has led for the past four years. A licensed 100-Ton Near Coastal Captain, Captain Dan pairs technical expertise with a consultative approach to helping clients buy and sell luxury vessels. He is sponsored for his Florida brokerage license by Norwood & Skiff Yacht Sales and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service in every transaction. Beyond brokerage, Captain Dan is an advocate for boating safety and education. He currently sits on the Board of SaferBoater, a Charleston-based organization working toward the creation of a nationwide standardized boating license initiative.
