Calendar Highlights

    • YBAA-Bay Area: DOS – SF Glide Memorial Church May 7th 07:00 @ Glide Memorial

Please join the Yale Black Alumni Association-SF Chapter to prepare and serve meals at Glide Memorial as part of their Daily Free Meals Program. The breakfast service serves hundreds of people in just 2 hours–See you there!
The most important thing we can do is to serve as a friendly and warm presence for the clients. The work is simple, but the value is far greater! Offer a loving hand to volunteer service, you are invited to dine with the clients that need it as much as a warm meal. In the event that you choose to dine with the group, we request a donation of $2.00 per person, however no volunteer will be turned away for lack of funds.

Yale alumni, their partners, family, children and friends are invited to join us for a day of service at Bartram’s Garden. We’ll begin the morning with a short talk about the history and plans of the Garden, and then work at digging and pulling plants and other natural objects from an emerging path along the waterfront through the forest. The goal of the morning is to help clear a defined walkable path that has already begun through the Garden. Bring gloves and kneepads/kneeling pillows. Tools will be provided.

Bartram’s Garden is a 45-acre National Historic Landmark that is almost 300 years old.  It is an outdoor classroom and living laboratory destination with a bike path that will be linked to the Schuylkill River Trail in the next few years.
